So, what does the LG HT903TA give you for your money? For a start, there’s a pretty impressive 1000W output which puts most other home theatre systems welll into the shade. As you’d expect, there’s HDMI in and HDMI out which lets you attach it to both your funky new 32 inch LED TV and a range of other HD AV devices. If you own a HD Ready LCD TV you’ll find that this home cinema comes with 1080p up-scaling which allows you watch all your movies in full HD (where compatible) and 10.1 Virtual Sound Matrix (V.S.M) for 10.1 virtual surround sound.
Whilst we’re on the topic of TV’s, the HT903TA features a rather handy all in one control feature: Simplink which synchs with LG TV’s and lets you control all compatible devices from one remote.
Do you own an iPod? Nice. Simply connect your iPod to the docking station and control it using the HT903TA remote control.
LG have added a very useful feature in the form of USB ripping which lets you copy music to a USB compatible MP3 player direct – keep it legal though!
The most important feature that you’re looking for is playback options, here goes: DivX movie playback, MP3, WMA and JPEG files with no formatting issues to think about.

We know; you need reviews. There were mixed views on this home cinema system; the lowest marks were given by professional review sites but real world owners seemed pretty happy. Here’s a couple of reviews we grabbed from the internet:
Overall: 9 out of 10
Plus points:Great system with good sound.Works great with my LG tv and the simlink works great too.
Minus points: Had to buy an optical cable for TV sound to work and also added an HDMI cable, Maybe didnt need all the wires but it all now works.Only complaint is the base of the speakers is quit big i.e the size of a dinner plate so if space is an issue on the floor then maybe think of something else.

It might not be the most robustly built or sonically competent one-box system we’ve tested, but there’s no denying the HT903TA offers terrific value for money in other areas. It’s packed with great features like VSM, it looks great and can generate a remarkably powerful sound. Had LG’s audio boffins dialled down the harshness and paired the system with a different subwoofer it could have been a much better proposition overall.
